Bad news for The Covered Girl Bandit. "The more you keep on going, the more likely it is you are going to get caught," he said. "Let me tell you, the Peel cops are really good."
Peel cops have canvassed Mississauga hard and so far have come up with nothing.
"It is frustrating because she has managed to bang six banks without being caught," said Pollock.
"This is a unique case and we are working on it."
Police say she could be a neighbour, a relative or somebody you might recognize from wherever you have your morning cup of coffee. "With all of the robberies pretty well in the same area, she may not even have a car," said Pollock.
Female bank robbers are still rare but Toronto Police have seen it and so have police in the U.S. But what makes this different is it appears to be a serial bank robber. Who knows the motive?
"She may have a vice of some kind," said Pollock.
Her modus operandi is the same each time. She enters the bank where she starts to unfold a handwritten note that says she has a gun and to put the cash in a plastic grocery bag.
Police are unsure if she does indeed have a gun but don't want anyone to take any chances. Each time she leaves the bank on foot -- just after being caught on security camera.
Investigators have many different angles of her and some clean shots of her eyes. Based on that, police believe she is between 35 and 45 years old, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6,140 to 160 pounds, and is always wearing "a black hooded jacket pulled up, navy or black scarf covering lower half of face, black gloves, blue jeans and white running shoes."
Time will tell when she strikes again. Although she's been slippery so far, statistics show it's only a matter of time before Peel police have The Covered Girl Bandit covered in handcuffs and shackles.
