Bulgarians Arrested in Greece over Credit Card Fraud: The Greek police have arrested three Bulgarian nationals over a bank fraud signal coming from a Brazilian bank and Interpol, the Bulgarian information agency BGNES reported on Sunday.The Police found 9 fake credit cards in the detainees' possession.The signal of bank fraud by the use of a fake credit card had come from a bank in Sao Paolo, Brazil. The bank has received a complaint from a customer who had noticed that EUR 2000 have been withdrawn from his credit card from an ATM in Brazil, a country the credit card owner has never visited.A bank security camera has provided the Police with the perpetrator's ID.The three Bulgarians suspected in the fraud had returned to Greece several days ago, where they have been arrested. The Greek authorities reported that the suspects had used the 9 fake credit cards to withdraw huge amounts of money over the course of just a few days.The case is under investigation and is expected to determine the exact amount the three detainees have stolen.This is yet another case of Bulgarians arrested in Greece over credit card fraud leading the authorities to believe that the three are part of an international credit card fraud channel.
