Huntington Harbour house now in foreclosure for $3,589,000 was the home of a man indicted in what the FBI calls a $12 million mortgage fraud scheme.The home at 3281 Bounty Circle, which is being auctioned off as a foreclosure, was listed in court records as the address of Edward Seung Ok. Federal prosecutors said Ok and others took part in a foreclosure rescue scam that stole $12 million from an estimated 100 homeowners who were faced with losing their homes.Two other defendants pleaded guilty in the case, but published reports don’t say what ever happened to Ok, and I am seeking that info today. The case may still be open.A $3.59 million foreclosure is a rarity in Huntington Beach, where it is estimated that roughly a third of properties on the market are distressed — in foreclosure or being offered as short sales.The pricetags for most of those homes are for millions of dollars less than this one
