Sidney Belile of Raymondville, pleaded guilty to mail fraud Friday as part of a plea deal on a four-count indictment
Sidney Belile of Raymondville, former president of Northern New York Environmental Services Corp. Inc., which did business as Northern New York Construction Services Corp., pleaded guilty to mail fraud Friday as part of a plea deal on a four-count indictment handed up in federal court October 30th.Belile, along with Mark Mayette of Waddington and Kirk Mayette of Madrid were alleged to have stolen funds from their employees' retirement account by not making contributions for most of 2003, instead keeping the money for their own use. The suit also claimed the company submitted false certifications to government agencies showing the benefits were being paid to employees when they were not.Belile is scheduled to be sentenced August 11th, when he could face up to 20 years in prison and be fined up to $250,000. He also is expected to be ordered to pay $34,730 in restitution.Charges against Mark and Kirk Mayette are pending, with trial scheduled for April 20th
