Suspected mafia den in Edinburgh raided by police - The Daily Record: "SUSPECTED Mafia den has been raided in Edinburgh.
Police investigating a worldwide fakelectrical goods scam e run by gangsters from Naples searched the property. No one was arrested but paperwork and other evidence were seized.
The cheap imitations of big brand names included electricity generators, power drills and chainsaws that didn't meet safety standards.
Investigators at Europol believe gangsters have made tens of millions from the gear being sold door to door. Benoit Godart, who led the operation for Europol, said: 'We collected some evidence that will be of interest to the fraud investigation in Italy.'"
