Michael R. Park, 51, of Layton, was sentenced Monday to 90 days in jail and could be ordered to repay $260,992 in taxes, penalties and interest that he did not pay between 2001 and 2006, the Utah Attorney General's Office said. He owned Godfather's Pizza franchises in Kearns, Sandy, Taylorsville and West Jordan from November 2001 until January 2003 before his misconduct was discovered by his partners.Park was convicted in October on two third-degree felony charges for failing to pay state taxes and file proper tax returns during the seven-year period.Third District Court Judge Randall Skanchy also ordered Park to perform 200 hours of community service and server 36 months on probation.A restitution hearing in the case is scheduled for February.
